How did you get 154 Mhz, is it related to bus speed, pci slot or agp slot speed?? nick OneEng Member posted 05-05-99 07:27 PM -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- finchnj, I can get 53-54 FPS by going to 16bit vs 22. The frame rate is cpu limited at this resolution. The cool thing about the V3 is that even at higher resolutions, the FPS stay high. The 154 Mhz is achieved by using the oc utility for the V3. On a low end machine like mine, it does not make any difference since I am CPU limited on speed, not video card limited. Rwc Member posted 05-09-99 02:09 AM -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I got solve problem fps between refrence driver from 3dfx and blaster voodoo2 driver from blaster. Pent2,350,gigabyte 6bxe 440bx mb,64 ram ,blaster voodoo2 single not sli. refrence driver demo1 massive1 crusher 640x480 56.2 47.8 28.7 600x800 44.5 38.2 25.6 blaster voodoo2 driver 85 mhz demo1 massive1 crusher 640x480 71.1 57.2 36.1 600x800 61.0 46.8 33.1 93 mhz blaster voodoo2 demo1 massive1 crusher 640x480 76.2 57.0 34.7 600x800 60.2 50.4 34.1 So i wonder if get 3000 card will it increase fps?? Todd a Member posted 05-09-99 09:01 AM -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Voodoo3 will increase picture quality by quite a bit, but more important it will let you run at 1024x768 at about the same speed you run now at 640x480 or 800x600 with your Voodoo2. I is almost piontless to run at a lower resolution. If you have SLI you will run about the same speeds but you can run higher resolutions (1280x1024 or 1600x1200) and improve the image quality a bit. As better drivers come out you can expect even more speed.Side note. The new MiniGL drivers run 3DNow! without the Patch from AMD. Just install the MiniGL driver 1.48 and run to 3dfx OpenGL and your V3 will rock.
